Alchemy, a leading provider of cryptocurrency infrastructure for numerous blockchains and firms, has launched AgentPay, a revolutionary tool that enables disparate AI payment systems from prominent companies like Coinbase, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, and Circle to interact seamlessly. This innovation addresses the pressing issue of current agentic payment systems being unable to communicate with each other, necessitating merchants to establish separate integrations for each protocol. According to Alchemy CTO Guillaume Poncin, "This approach is unsustainable and will only lead to further fragmentation as more systems emerge. AgentPay solves this problem by allowing merchants to register their existing API with us, and we provide them with a new endpoint through which any agent on a supported protocol can make payments." As a pivotal player in the Web3 space, often referred to as the 'AWS of Web3', Alchemy offers the necessary infrastructure, developer tools, and node services for building blockchain applications.

AgentPay ensures a single integration for all protocols, including x402, MPP, A2P, and L402, by acting as a translation layer that routes instructions without Alchemy handling the funds. The emergence of agentic finance, anticipated to become a cornerstone of internet payment activity, involves micro-transactions and nano-payments between AI agents and humans.

Following a private beta soft launch, Alchemy plans to release AgentPay publicly in the coming weeks.
