Alchemy, a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure provider supporting numerous blockchains and firms, has introduced AgentPay, a revolutionary tool that facilitates collaboration between AI payment systems from prominent companies such as Coinbase, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, and Circle. This development addresses the pressing issue of emerging agentic payment systems being unable to communicate with one another, resulting in merchants having to establish separate integrations for each protocol. According to Alchemy CTO Guillaume Poncin, 'This approach is unsustainable and will only become more fragmented as additional systems launch.' AgentPay resolves this issue by allowing merchants to register their existing API, which is then provided with a new endpoint, enabling any agent on supported protocols to make payments through it.

As a key player in the Web3 space, often referred to as the 'AWS of Web3,' Alchemy provides essential infrastructure, developer tools, and node services for building blockchain applications. AgentPay ensures a single integration for multiple protocols, including x402, MPP, A2P, and L402, by acting as a translation layer that routes instructions without Alchemy handling the funds. The emergence of agentic finance, anticipated to become a cornerstone of internet payments, involves micro-transactions and nano-payments between AI agents and humans.

Following a private beta soft launch, Alchemy is planning a general release in the coming weeks.
