Alchemy, a leading provider of cryptocurrency infrastructure, has unveiled AgentPay, a groundbreaking tool designed to enable effortless communication between various AI payment systems. This innovation allows merchants to integrate multiple protocols from prominent companies such as Coinbase, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, and Circle, into a single, cohesive system.

The current lack of interoperability between these systems poses a significant challenge, as merchants are required to establish separate integrations for each protocol. According to Alchemy CTO Guillaume Poncin, "This approach is unsustainable and will only become more fragmented as additional systems emerge." AgentPay addresses this issue by providing a single endpoint for merchants, allowing any agent on a supported protocol to facilitate transactions. Alchemy is renowned for its role as the "AWS of Web3," offering essential infrastructure, developer tools, and node services for building blockchain applications. By positioning itself as a translation layer, AgentPay enables the routing of instructions without directly handling funds.

The emergence of agentic finance, which is poised to become a pivotal aspect of online payments, often involves micro-transactions and nano-payments between AI agents and humans. Following a private beta launch, Alchemy is preparing for a general release of AgentPay in the coming weeks.
